Assistant Director of Vocational Rehabilitation Services

 

UBA WeCARE provides a continuum of services to help HRA referred cash assistance clients with medical and/or mental health conditions that affect their employability to attain their maximum levels of self-sufficiency. Individuals referred to WeCARE receive medical and psychosocial assessments to identify possible clinical conditions and social barriers that may affect their ability to participate in work-related activities. Based on the results of the assessments, a determination of an individual’s functional capacity outcome (FCO) is completed, and a customized service plan is developed to provide a range of services tailored to meet a client’s particular needs.

 

We are currently seeking an Assistant Director of Vocational Rehabilitation Services

to join the UBA WeCARE program.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Develop Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) Team policies, procedures, and workflows that comply with HRA requirements for the WeCARE Program.
Supervise VRS supervisor and case management staff.
Oversight of the WeCARE VRS process.

Job Duties:

Perform regular case reviews to assess VRS staff abilities to complete VRS Service Initiation, childcare referrals, and client engagement.
Ensure that assigned VRS staff complete VRS Services and engagement process following appropriate guidelines and within required time frames.
Meet regularly with HRA representatives to discuss SEAMS issues.
Collaborate with other WeCARE vendors and UBA-WeCARE staff.
Monitor VRS supervisor’s direction of VRS case managers and the completion of VRS Service Initiation and client engagement. Make appropriate childcare referrals.
Make certain that VRS case managers identify and address the need for ongoing accommodations, document the need in electronic record, (SEAMS), and provide follow up with the HRA Office of Constituent Services.
Monitor and track incoming and outgoing MetroCards daily.
Ensure that VRS goals are achieved in the time frame required by funder (HRA).

Work Setting:

Outpatient Clinic
In-person and telephonic services

License/Certification:

Bachelor’s Degree required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
Knowledge of Vocational Rehabilitation experience
Knowledge of medical and behavioral health diagnoses.
Associate must have ability to develop detailed policies and procedures.
Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Associate must have strong interpersonal skills.
