Full Job Description
Overview:Focused on sanitary conditions and cleaniness of residents rooms and all areas in a the facility. This position is the main defense against serious infections that may linger on surfaces throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:Clean all assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment. Sanitize all surfaces. Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items needed to maintain a clean safe environment for our residents, visitors and staff. Seek out areas that require cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
Perform task in accordance with all federal, state, and county guidelines. Follow 10 step cleaning procedures: 1. Interact with resident or guest, 2. Empty waste receptacles, 3. High dust above eye level, 4.Sanitize all horizontal services, 5. Spot clean all vertical surfaces, 6. Clean the bathroom, 7. Dust mop the floor or vacuum, 8. Inspect Room, 9. Damp mop the floor, 10. Interact with Resident or guest.
Collect and dispose of trash in accordance to and set by procedures and infection control plans.
Dust and damp mop floor following procedures as assigned. Burnishes or buffs floor if required.
Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and place furniture back in correct placement.
Responsible for snow removal and snow preparation.
While normally assigned to one area, may be assigned to other areas when needed.
Perform all tasks in accordance with ArchCare Values and Mission statement.
Attend Monthly meetings and trainings as scheduled.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Stripping and waxing.
Qualifications:Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; ability to understand simple oral and written instructions.
Experience Requirements
One to three years prior experience as an environmental services work is required.
