Beanstalk Academy is a leading HeadStart, 3K, UPK, and early childhood education provider. We support and accommodate our families’ needs by providing a safe and nurturing childcare experience. We are actively hiring Lead Preschool Teachers for Head Start, 3K, and UPK classrooms.
The Lead Teacher is expected to engage in ongoing learning to strengthen his/her understanding of child development and the Lead Preschool Teacher is responsible for promoting the vision for quality early childhood services that anchor the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
Structure a learning environment that promotes child health and safety
Plan and lead classroom instruction that is developmentally appropriate and meets the needs of children
Actively engage with families to ensure parents/caregivers are knowledgeable about the child’s program
Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including the incorporation of transitions and age-appropriate opportunities
Create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for students that is conducive to learning
Support implementation of behavior plans and/or IFSP/IEP goals, as appropriate
Essential Qualifications (Must have at least one)
NYS Teaching Certification B-2 or Equivalent
BA in ECE (Early Childhood Education) and currently pursuing MA/Teacher certification
