Salary Range: $62,400 – $72,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The primary objective of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)-funded Region 2 Public Health Training Center (R2PHTC) is to support the governmental public health workforce by conducting ongoing training needs and workforce needs assessments, developing and evaluating high-quality distance training to address identified needs, and supporting Master’s in Public Health student field placements and faculty-student collaborative projects in local health departments (LHDs) and select federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The R2PHTC is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Director and Assistant Director in the daily operations of the Region 2 Public Health Training Center. The candidate will also support the Assistant Director in the development of and delivery of webinars and training programs. Additional responsibilities will include managing the R2PHTC Gmail account, Continuing Education credit reporting, supporting the R2PHTC social media and communications initiative, and maintaining the R2PHTC Website.
Responsibilities
Oversee and host the monthly Log-in2Learn webinars workflow process: conduct speaker outreach and communicate webinar expectations with presenters, create promotional documents, write MailChimp campaigns, update R2PHTC website course offerings pages, write course descriptions, assist with Zoom webinars, and transcribe YouTube videos for accessibility (30%)
Manage the Region 2 PHTC Continuing Education crediting process, including answering credit requests in the Center’s Gmail account, issuing completion certificates to learners and reporting training completers who need Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and Certified in Public Health (CPH) continuing education credits to appropriate credentialing organizations

Provide data entry and data management support to the Assistant Director to complete the Annual Performance Report each July (15%)
Coordinate the scheduling of meetings between the PHTC personnel and presenters and/or subject matter experts for the development of webinars and asynchronous modules. (10%)
Manage social media platforms: Create and post regular LinkedIn and Facebook content for promotional, content-sharing, and public health engagement purposes. Communicate with regional and national partners for cross-promotional opportunities. Create promotional materials (PowerPoint slides, posters, social media images etc.) as needed (10%)
Update progress with Assistant Director via weekly virtual meetings and attend the monthly PHTC Network Communications Committee virtual meetings (5%)
Monitor and evaluate online outreach efforts with data analytics from Facebook, LinkedIn, MailChimp, TRAIN.org and WordPress to inform strategic planning and quality improvement (5%)
Other duties as assigned (e.g. create and edit basic graphics, assist with webinars and Zoom calls) (5%)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, communications, or similar, or equivalent in education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred. Experience in workforce continuing education and training preferred. Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Public health marketing and communications experience a plus.
Other Requirements
Excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Computer skills required: MS 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word); Google Suite; webinar platforms such as Zoom Conferencing; LinkedIn and Facebook social media platforms; Canva, MailChimp and basic WordPress.
