The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Financial Analyst within the same business unit in the Dept. of Surgury, the incumbent will be responsible for financial coordination.
Responsibilities
Assist in post-award research transactions and close-out
Process monthly research journal entries
Review and process clinical research financial transactions
Monitor and respond to urgent financial transaction requests
Assist in preparation of financial reports
Liaison between the pre- and post- research award offices
Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
Assist with research sponsored project salary allocations and effort reporting process
Obtain quarterly financial expenditure attestation
Ensure that budget lines are valid for all procurement transactions by collaborating with Finance Directors and Divisional Administrators on appropriate ChartStrings
Support other ad-hoc projects and functions as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in education and experience
Other Requirements
Strong analytical skills
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Good interpersonal skills.
