JOB DESCRIPTION

The overall purpose of the Quality Management Coordinator (QMC) is to provide clinical and administrative support for the AIDS Center’s Quality Improvement and Value-Based Purchasing programs. The QMC works in collaboration with the Associate Director of Quality and Special Projects to provide real-time evaluation and monitoring of quality metrics for quality incentive programs implemented by the HIV Special Needs Plans and other managed care plans as well as quality measures established by the AIDS Center and its various grant-funded programs. This is accomplished through ongoing review of data reports and extracts, chart review, and data compilation to identify patients who are not meeting established quality measures. The QMC then works with members of the AIDS Center’s care team to develop strategies and work plans to ensure that clinical quality measures are being met.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s preferred.
Minimum one year of experience reviewing, collecting, and improving quality data specific to care, preferably related to primary care or care of people living with HIV.
Familiarity with New York City, New York State, and Federal standards for HIV/AIDS care
Knowledge of chronic care management
Knowledge of HIV, STI, and HCV primary and secondary prevention
Familiarity with LGBTQ+ health and primary care best practices
Familiarity with health issues and best practices regarding people of color and those of low socioeconomic status
Familiarity with community-based organizations and resources related to sexual health and LGBTQ+ care
Skilled in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
