Full Job Description
Assist with the preparation, management, and logistical support of summer orientation programs
Assist in the planning and execution of Orientation Leader training program
Supervises Orientation Leader student staff including Senior Orientation Leader
Assign and manage orientation leader assignments
Coordinate with SDACA to plan and staff programming during the overnight and/or virtual orientation component
Coordinate in-person session and overnight check-in/check-out processes
First responder for all overnight new students including early arrival and late departure students
Develop marketing materials and programs for the Weeks of Welcome 2021 calendar
Assist with orientation assessment and welcome week program development
Additional duties assigned as needed

Position Duties
Supervises orientation leaders and senior orientation Leaders
Schedules and oversees orientation leader office hours and assignments
Assists in the planning and execution of orientation leader training program
Works with the orientation staff in the preparation and execution for each Orientation session
Responsible for evaluation of each session and assessment report of the entire program
Responsible for all overnight new students and orientation leaders each session
Communicates emergency protocol to all students via written and oral form
Performs other such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Position Qualifications
Excellent Written and Verbal Skills
Organized and Detail Oriented
Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint
Current graduate student with the desire to work with undergraduate student
Orientation experience and event planning preferred
Maintain professional boundaries with student staff
Serve as a role model for orientation leaders and incoming students
Observe all University, orientation programs and Housing and Residential Life policies

Work Hours
This position generally requires 20 hours a week, but additional hours will be needed for weeks with orientation sessions.
