FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Bronx Community College seek to hire Continuing Education Teachers to teach STEM subject related interventions. Facilitators will present lesson plans and create instructional materials and activities for student engagement. Establishes and maintains an engaging and supportive classroom environment. Review materials with students and evaluate student performance. Encourage students’ participation in class activities. Teaches Continuing Education courses and performs related work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: Math, Math Education, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Physics OR Nursing with professional qualifications appropriate to teaching assignments.
At least one year of online teaching experience and two years of in-person teaching experience
High School or College level teaching experience in the field of math and/or science, preferably
Experience in developmental education.
Knowledge of, or experience in implementing a variety of teaching strategies.
Availability to work day or evening hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree and professional qualifications appropriate to teaching assignments as stated above.
