Full Job Description
The Welcome Events Coordinator works with the Assistant Director of Orientation and Campus Activities to plan Weeks of Welcome programming, while also supporting the summer orientation program.

Position Duties
Assist with the preparation, management, and logistical planning process of Welcome Events for the month of September 2019 with Assistant Director of Campus Activities
Create and develop marketing and promotional material for all Welcome Events
Create fun and creative ways to promote Welcome Events to incoming students through the SDACA social media outlets (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) & OrgSync
Assist Orientation Coordinators with the Orientation Overnight Activities on Day # 1 of Orientation Program (6 Freshman Orientations from June – August 2019)
Help develop an assessment tool that will be given to students after attending Welcome Events for constructive feedback
Maintain regular office hours
Additional duties assigned as needed

Position Qualifications
Excellent Written and Verbal Skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint
Orientation experience preferred
Must be available to attend all summer orientation sessions/pieces of training
Coordinators will remain in residence during the summer program

Work Hours
This position generally requires 20 hours a week, but additional hours will be needed for weeks with orientation sessions.
